Talk about first impressions, I’ve had authorship for who knows how long, I’ve wanted to make so many posts based on day-to-day things for so long and I didn’t notice the freaking button was on my profile picture-circle-thingy up top.
I feel like the biggest idiot ever.
PS. I’m Alex and aside from being a total idiot, I’m mexican, really happy to see I’m not the only one here, I’m a massive MotoGP and F1 fan and also everything with wheels and an engine, yes, even 2-wheeled objects.
I drive a VW Golf 1.4 Twincharger 6-speed, I’ve driven many-a-car and I’ve owned a couple of interesting nightmares cars, so there’s a couple of stories to tell, and I’ve got some spending cash right now so there even may be more nightmares interesting stuff to write about soon.
Have some Clubsport for the read.

Welcome to Kinja. You won’t have time to get used to it, it will probably change soon.
It always does.
I’m not familiar with the 1.4 twincharger... is it turbo and supercharged?

Why do we always get the short end of the stick when it comes to VW engines?
If it’s anything like Volvo’s Drive-E mills, it must be great.

Those bodies won’t decompose themselves, you know. Actually I guess they might.

Some lime and some rotating does speed up the process though

“Stay out of the basement .”
Ignore CB. There’s a nice desk waiting for you there. Don’t forget to take your red stapler.

Takes a while. I like doing it Count of Tuscany style. Makes the wine taste better.

Aged in oak, human misery, and dead bodies, but mostly dead bodies.

Good thing you didn’t tell him about the pool on the roof. Gets too crowded up there as it is.

Only problem with roof keggers - drunk pigeons.
![]() 06/05/2015 at 14:19 |

Is that really a problem? Drunk racing pigeons sounds awesome.

Forget pigeons. Seagulls, mate. Seagulls will swoop down and try to steal your food right from your hands.

I've seen my share of basements, what you got?

I think itschrome answered perfectly, it's a rather interesting motor, pull really well, though you could get fooled for it being regular turbo, though it does make insane torque for it being a tiny 1.4...

I think we’ve run into each other a couple of times in the comments before!
Nice to be here finally officially!!

Yes! Againg I think I’ve run into you in the comments before, LOVE your bike, you’ve done some truly tasteful work on that thing.
(I have a thing for black, despite having a White car)
Hopefully I can post a bike-purchase post soon, just waiting for the right one to turn up (the mexican used-bike market is not as varied as in the US)

Mk6! Last of the germans here in America.
And no, I'm Mexican living in Mexico City, have been for my whole 23 years of living and 7 going on 8 years of driving!! (except for a short 4 month stint at the beginning of the year)

I know, over here we have a thing for VWs in general, so I am very not surprised that of the 2 other Mexicans I’ve run into here one of them drives a Golf, though mine is a (much less patriotic, German-made) Mk6.
